Vacuum Tankers
Over many years we are still offering simple to use tankers for the disposal of liquid effluent. These machines work better with lower viscosity liquids, i.e.:-
0% to 7% is deemed as dirty water
8% to 12% is slurry
13% and over can be too thick for vacuum tankers
Often working in conjunction with a pond stirrer to “liquefy” the storage pond, the vacuum tanker simply draws along side the pond – using the 4m suction hose provided (extra can be supplied) a vacuum is drawn on the tanker via the PTO vane pump fitted to the drawbar self filling the vessel in less than 5 minutes.

Once full the tanker is towed to the required position on the farm where the effluent needs to be spread. Subject to the viscosity a spread width between 8m and 20m can be obtained. The main benefit of the tanker system for slurry disposal is that the operator has total control over where – how much – how often slurry is applied, this is especially beneficial in nitrogen sensitive areas or where the slurry has to taken to a dry area or a neighbouring farm. Once familiar with the vehicle our customers always comment on the speed in which high volumes can be applied.

All of our tanks are fitted to a full chassis on larger tanks and a ‘T’ type chassis on smaller vehicles. The tanks are all rolled from 6mm plate, with internal baffling and hot spun dished ends supporting the tank for maximum longevity

Unique features

  • Low center of gravity with optimum ground clearance
  • 6mm rolled barrels
  • Full RHS welded chassis
  • Straight drawbar for maximum turning circle
  • Large capacity vane type vacuum pump
  • Double safety valving
  • Swivel eye
  • Drawbar support jack
  • Single or Tandem axle

All tankers are fitted with both primary and secondary effluent traps to ensure that waste doesn’t get in the pump. The tank is 6mm rolled fully welded using solid wire welding by trade’s men all with 4711 certification. Fitted with a rear opening inspection door, this allows for easy cleaning if required. Further safety is covered by vacuum & pressure relief valves fitted to both the tank and again to the pump to ensure longevity and safety, also a large pressure gauge is fitted to the tank with easy visibility from the cab.
